What is your favorite Chaldean dialect song?

This question came to my mind after I realized I am addicted to one of Sargon Gabriel's songs from his 1989 album in which he sings in a Chaldean dialect haha. Very cool song, I am sure you have all heard it:

"3ajaya keebe pare, w lagben peshe baraye...lek dalek dalek dekhwe, w le ma7ketlukh men dakha,,,,kheshwale b'yomet arba, w ana lakhzele ra7a"   :giggle: Sargon is awsome man.....

I also like 'Dalale' by Talal. Janan Sawa has one too from the 80s, but forgot the title.

What is your favorite?

Ok, let a Chaldean solve this here:

1. Yosif Aziz- Kibin Kibin (kibin kibin kibinakh sa'o lebi shoqinakh)
2. Nargis nargis- I think that was Assyrian and by sargon rasho
3. Janan Sawa- not sure the title, but it went Maryam basa mromhalee kibinkh oo lewat taly kibinkah oo at kibany. someone mentioning the title would be appreciated. frank hayden sang it on Ashur Tv in 2006. Janan also had a song with Araden dialect, it went Ya Mari aryele nemrele, de mori modileh. the title on that would also be appreciated on that one.
4. dalaleh and goza goza are both by talal graish and in alqosh dialct.
5. Munadhel- I know this guy quite well. all his songs are also in chaldean.

Mariam is the title of the first Janan Sawa song...  I need more detail on the second song though.

Nargis is definitely Assyrian dialect (which I would consider Araden, Enishkeh, Komaneh, and Sarsink accents Assyrian...  Even Alqoshi can be pretty close to Assyrian dialect in Alqosh).

No, it is Assyrian. Thanks for the link. The beat is from Araden. That place is perdaisa.

You've been there?  I used to go every summer until 91.  We had a place by the Gazinos in Enishkeh.

You should.  It's very beautiful there.

Araden is just to the right of the valley you see ahead (this is a cave turned restaurant on the mountainside of Enishkeh).

Ahh Araden, :) indeed one of our most beautiful historic villages in Iraq! My grandma is from there so I have a lot of very fond memories of going up there every spring/summer for sharrat Mar Sultan Madoukh. I remember being as little as five & walking up the rocky hill (which seemed endless at the time) that led to the church barefoot. :giggle:

As for my favorite Chaldean song, I?m sure there are a lot, but the only one that comes to mind at the moment is Janan Sawa?s Brata min Telkefeh (yeah, all this talk of Janan & Aradin reminded me of it). Not sure if it would really be considered of the Chaldean dialect, but it does mention all the major Chaldean matwateh.

Here?s a link. Unfortunately as you?ll hear, they?ve managed to turn it into a remix.
