If an Assyrian administrative region was promised and fulfilled to us, would you approve of western nations kicking out Assyrian Refugees and sending them back to Assyria?

That means, anyone in the United States, Canada, Sweden, Australia, England, etc. that applied for refugee status because of instability or fear of the Ba'ath in Iraq, would have to return to Assyria.

Whats your take on that?

Me personally, I support it. But thats my call. I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

Forget the ones who have made it to the west already. Their are twice the amount of that in Syria, Jordan, and Turkey. These poor Assyrian refugees (at minimum by now probably topple over 500,000) are willing to go anywhere where they are guaranteed safety, a home, and a reasonable income. Lets focus on them.

I would suppourt it too, but those who have to retrun to homeland need the guranty that the area is stabil and safe.
I dont want more Assyrians to become vicitims of terror...

Still I think not all Assyrians should be sent back to  Assyria, we need to know the capacity of the place and more important are there enough workplaces...are there homes...are there enough schools etc....

you know that such a move needs alot of money, money for those who are then ready to go back...they need to build up their life in the homeland again...

I think international organizations and Western countries have laws that protect refugees - in other words, once you are accepted under refugee status I don't think they can kick you out.  Which is why very few accept refugees officially.  Refugees can be relocated or reintegrated back into their countries if they choose - for example, in the Congo, the UN works to repatriate Rwandan refugees, but they have to be coaxed back - the UN doesn't force Rwandans back into Rwanda.

Thank you for saving me the trouble love, as you are quite correct. Once you are granted permanent refugee or asylum status, it can never be taken away from you unless something in your original claim was proved to be fraudulent, and usually, once a case is granted (most especially with the refugee status, since it actually initiates before one even enters the new permanent country), it is almost never investigated further and issues of fraudulence are rare, as extensive background checks are performed before the final status is granted. What a terrifying thought to think you could begin to rebuild your life somewhere new, start to finally adjust, and then be uprooted once again, without having any choice in the matter!
