never.....I left when I was 2 yrs old and where I live is the only environment I'm use to.........I wouldn't even dare leave Illinois

I would go back to see my family i havent seen for years

but never to live there Iran is a 5hithole !!!!

but going back to a "Assyria" is a different topic!
 
I would love to go. Actually, my mom has this whole thing planned out for us. Once my dad retires, she wants us to tour the Middle East one entire summer. She wants to mainly hit up Israel, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon. Can't wait!

I wouldn't live there... but if it gets better and safe, I would build a "summer house" lol back in barwar and have it as my getaway  :mrgreen:
Or... I would go back to barwar, reclaim my grandfather's property, kick out any nasty kurd that lives there, restore it, and have the land blessed by a priest to get the meshulmana vibe out of it  :giggle:
 
i wouldnt go there, we left when i was very young and it dosnt feel like my country i dont remember anything from it  :)
 
well i was 6 yrs old when we left iraq but i would live there if it gets really better and if other assyrians go there because nearly the whole assyrians r out of there now.

but i think its really difficult for someone like us whohave  left the homeland for years to go back and live there .
 
go back to iraq ? wat was the point of leaving it if u thought of going back
