I see the ads on TV every freaking day and i think to myself why would they ask us to sponser children from Africa and areas around it when they give away million probably billions of dollars for Lottery, Wheel Of Fortune, Who Wants to Be A Millionare, The Price is Right etc.

If one wants to help, they should just do that, help the poor & less fortunate. There isn't really a point trying to make sense of why there are millions wasted here & there while children starve to death, because by the time we come up with an answer, more children would've died.

Sponsoring a child is a rewarding experience, if you can afford it, and I think most of us can afford to save a dollar a day, then I'd suggest one does it ASAP, millions more out there still need your help.

Salem, that is probably one of the best explanations I've ever heard/read.

If I try to solve the ENTIRE problem, even in my head, like why so much money is wasted, and even trying to understand the economics, I feel overwhelmed, so it's better to just stick with one small thing to make a difference at a time. Every little change counts. It may seem impossible, and very hard to trust, but I am a firm believer that one person can change the world.

The world is in one person as much as it is in all of us together. One change here stems to changes everwhere in a chain reaction that is almost invisible, and it's just inspiring to know that you have the power to create something positive in the world that wasn't there before you decided to give from your heart.
 
who is winning the lottary? with it being going on for so many years, and winners every week, I think I should see some winners in my every day life, till now, I have not seen a winner, sure I've heard about them on tv. yet i do believe, isn't that faith for you? lol, just kidding

i think it has to do more with politics than "saving children", so all of it is just advertising, more or less.
