Why is the Media in the States so Anti McCain/Palin

I have come to this conclusion that truly the McCain campaign it treated unfairly by the media in the states. Time and time again the two republican candidates are criticized about every word they say and every issue they bring up. CNN drives me crazy. They are infatuated with Palin. Every CNN show criticizes the Republican ticket. Out of half an hour show on average 20 minutes about the republicans.

I wonder why that is. Obama and Biden are getting off easy. So many issues about the Democrat candidates need clarification but they get swept under the carpet.
 
I can say that you pick and choose what you watch.  I beg to differ.  

Every issue is pretty clarified.  You should maybe read more than you are watching.  That will help you realize that the media has a point.  
 
I guess people see what they want to see.  I think Palin has been given a major pass.  No one brings up her and her husband's ties to AIP (Alaskan Independence Party), and she has gotten away with simply holding rallies for her base and rarely answers questions from the press. No one brings up McCain's personal life, his ties to Charles Keating and con man Raffaello Follieri.  If the republican ticket has been criticized heavily lately (even by many in the conservative base) it's because their campaign as of late has taken a very dirty and low road and of course that's going to make the news.
 
I don't actually agree with the premise but if there was extra scrutiny paid to the McCain/Palin ticket it may have something to do with the fact that they won't do interviews or hold press conferences in order to clear up any statements or accusations.  They prefer to just blame the media for all their missteps.  

I'd hardly say that Obama is getting a free ride either.  He's been put through the ringer by the media as well.  He just came out of it looking better than the Republican ticket.

Western media has always been known to be a lot more liberal. This is why I get my news from other sources on the web, as well as on television.
 
I don't think they've been that harsh on McCain. He actually has gotten a lot of credit, but Palin...I mean, come on.

Palin? Really? I could find rocks smarter than her. And this is coming from a Republican.
 
I agree with ACANA. With the exception of FOX news of course, the media has been pretty harsh on her. Sure she has made mistakes here and there, but so has Bush, but look at him. He has led the US for 8 years. Take it easy on her, or she too will rule you for at least 4 years.

By the way, did you guys hear of a new ad that is out on radio (or TV?) not sure. It is one of the most disgusting ads you will ever see. I am not even sure if it is authorized by the Democrats.

The Ad is targeting Palin directly, and the main speakers are a bunch of 7 year old, and other teen age girls. And they say something like "Women in Alsaka are twice as likely to be raped than women in other states" and then something like "why should should you impose your views on me..." ...", and other dirty lines that a 7 year old kid should never get involved with.

This was so disgusting, a well-known liberal Toronto talk show was talking about. I too was so disgusted when I heard it, I had to call in. This is very low class from the democrats who accuse McCain of being negative in his ads.

But knowing Obama, and if he has indeed heard of this ad, I am sure he will denounce it and declare it off-limit.

I will try to find the Ad. and post it here.

I can't till O'Riley and Hannity get their hands on this.

Look what happened for taking it easy on Bush, they put him in office for that.  I guess the media realized a lot of stupid/ignorant people vote...  Therefore, you have to report in a way that most voters would understand...  

No one with common sense and half brain will not admit that Palin is a bad selection.  They're hiding her away...  They've realized that.  But thank god to these people at rallies that are taking videos of her unbelievably stupid remarks...

She calls us fake Americans...  Well, guess what?  F@#k her and her real America and whomever thinks like that.  I was actually believing that McCain will have a chance, but what a disaster.  His pick has divided his party, and lured independents to Obama.  

No one to thank but McCain.

I will be surprised if an ad like that came directly from his camp...  Unlike all the negative campaigning and terrorist labels.

Now, they wanna say that Al-Qaeda is supporting McCain to fool Americans to vote for Obama...  BUTTTTTT, since they found this out, Americans will not vote for Obama, so that Al Qaeda doesn't get their real choice, Obama.  It's a clusterf@#k to confuse the stupid vote.

In hindisight, she is a bad pick, given all the other great pool of candidates he could have chosen from. You have Huckabee, Romney, Guiliani and so many others.

No one really knows why he picked her, other than the obvious reasons. But that is who he picked, and if people are going to ridicule her, let them do it in a civil and polite manner.

Even Canadians are talking about how negative this US campaign has turned. It is really nasty out there, and if Republicans are who started the negative attacks, they are getting them back now. This is actually making the US the laugh of others. Whatever happened to respecting all sides and only attacking their ideas, and not the person?

Make your view count in the ballot box.

Most of the attacks are coming from republicans.  That's why McCain had an interview condemning his own party lol

It's desperation...  There is no other reason.  McCain wasn't doing it when they were even. 
 
Plain and simple, the media is in bed with Obama and Biden. How can you explaing then the soon to be president to have a pastor that he loves and is very close too says God Damn America instead of God Bless America. This does not get a huge play, why?

How can he got off so easy? This is the guy that will be the President.

One thing I know is that a lot of you Americans are upset (from both sides) and who ever wins America is in a precarious sitauation. If Obama wins the whites will be angry and if McCain wins Blacks will be angry. Please god, don't let our people get affected.

Um, not sure if you were watching the news during the primary but the Obama/Wright story dominated the news for days and then weeks later for more days when Obama denounced him.  As a side note, watch Rev. Wright's sermon on YouTube, he's right.

What has received no attention or play outside of comedy shows or Bill Maher is the video of Sarah Palin getting blessed by an African Witch-doctor who once drove a woman out of their village for being a witch.  Yet there he is available on YouTube again blessing our Vice Presidential candidate and trying to save her from witchcraft.  And they said Obama was crazy for associating with Rev. Wright.  Where's the bias again?

F.Y.I. - Axelrod, Obama's campaign manager, is smarter than McCains.  He leaks stories himself about Obama months before elections to make them old news, hence the Wright scandal.  He did the same thing with Obama's cocaine use in college while he was running for Senate in Illinois - leaked it 18 months before the elections.

It doesn't make it right, it just makes Obama's campaign manager smarter.

Yes, blame the media.  They haven't covered Obama for the past 20+ months enough.  Not the Jeremiah Wright story, not Ayers, not ACORN, not every other smear that has been lodged at him.  You guys are just mad that these attacks are not moving voters in your direction so of course you must blame the "liberal media."  Face it, your ticket sucks and that's why you're behind.  Plain and simple.
