What is your beliefs

The truth is that l feel uncomfortable with suroyo tv, its all about christianity and it makes me feel that all our people are christians, l myself are unreligious, which means that i feel uncertain about jesus and god. Its okay that the majority of our people are christian but it doesnt feel okay that they hate you for not being religious. I been through that and l know that in this forum you dont care about unreligious people, that you accept them. But here in Sweden its not the same thing for the majority, ofcourse that some do accept but others will hate you because you are syriac and are not religious, because in their eyes all syriac people are religious people. It makes me sad that l am being pushed out of the community. I have read the bible and tried hard to belive but it wont work, l belive in science because that makes sence. One time when l said to my mother that l am unreligious she wanted to through me from the house, this is how religious syriacs are, but she has now accepted it.

What should l do? What is your beliefs?

If you can't atleast be culturally christian and 'play along' twice a year then I have no sympathy for you becoming some sort of outcast, it's your own choice which you are allowed to take. We don't like to be with people who are brainwashed by one of the enemies(the anti-christian left-wing of the west) so again, most of us don't mind atheists in our community but if you're gonna be one of those who thinks he/she thinks it's cool to flaunt it, confront others with debates about science and stuff like that then it's your own doing. I'm from the Netherlands and have spend a lot of time in Sweden, I'm not buying that Assyrians there 'push out unreligious Assyrians'. It's the latter which I described that they have a problem with and rightfully so.

That's because many of these Atheist Assyrians you're describing aren't atheist entirely by their own thinking, they're atheist because of Marxist, Communist ideals.

Unfortunately most fall into the latter but that's not just Assyrians but most people in the west in general.

I know but it's stupid, all these leftist ideas are all cut from the same joolah.
The problem with communism, socialism, blah blah blah. They all endorse a hatred of Christianity.

When people stop believing in a religion, they also tend to throw away the morals that the religion teaches.
This is why I always argue that, even if Christianity isn't true, Christianity still has the best ideology of any religion.

I describe myself as an agnostic atheist. I'm an agnostic towards a deistic deity, but an atheistic towards all deities we humans wrote about (Yahweh, Vishnu, Krishna, etc). I accept evolution and the ideas of Charles Darwin.

With that being said, I do believe that our church is a needful social and political structure for our community. Without it, we'll probably be lost and more dispersed. I think Jesus was an excellent role model with good morals (even atheists like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris call themselves "atheists for Jesus").

OMG!! I HAVE FOUND JESUS AND GOD!!! I dreamed about jesus yesterday and he got me from hell to heaven but l said to jesus that its to early to go to heaven and l woke up, not only that, when l was lost jesus or god controlled me back home. I am christian now, and l pray everyday and have begun to read the bible. I am telling you all atheist or whatever, god and jesus and everything in the bible is true! Start beliving if possible, or atleast try.
Is this for real or are you satirizing believers? If so, then wow, you are really capricious. ;)

Anyway, people dream about everything. I've also seen Jesus and Mary in my dreams. Are dreams supposed to be real now?

P.S. Believe what you will, but don't tell others what to believe in (btw, doesn't that go against your statement in the opening post?).

In my statement l said l feel uncertain about god and jesus but now l got proof, l you dont believe in my story its okay, but l am telling you that its real. Amen.
That's no proof. That's your anecdotal experience. I saw a cloaked figure in my room in my sleep paralysis experience during a fever a year ago (and many people with SP see that sort of menacing figure). Is this 'proof' that supernatural beings exist?

Look, believe what you want to believe, but I find it bizarrely strange how you just a made a thread confirming your skepticism and lack of belief, and all of a sudden, four posts down, you become a strong believer on a whim.

No problem. Dreams can be very convincing. They can be so realistic that it's hard to discern the dream from things that actually happened, and sometimes you'd think you have done something when you have in fact not.
