Khze dogleee, I have all his songs  you never asked me for no Assyrian songs, cause you hardly listen to them

Last time I went to his party was long time ago, I think it was Christmas party in 1995, not sure about the year

We have him here all the time...

And he'll even sing at a restaurant, so you can have great food and fabulous music and singing aaaand smoke argeela...  :angelnot:

Akhhh, that's my idea of a good time!  :wavetowel:

Have fun everyone who is going, and take pictures please!

I choke every time I try to say his name 3 times fast.

However, I like his music.  So I'll just call him "George Chamcha" which is close enough for me.

You are right, he does not have a catchy name, but nonethless is a good singer. At one time Assyrian Iranian singers were big like Aghassi, Shamiran, Charbakshi and Jermain. I miss that now.

Omgosh, so does my mom...

The lyrics and range of instruments were some of the best from Jermain Tamraz's songs, and Shamiram (Urshan), well, she's a legend and my namesake.

She was so much fun!  I'll never forget one convention in Turlock, years ago.  The party was over so of course everyone spilled over to Lyon's for breakfast at about 3:00 in the morning.  In walks Shamiram and everyone starts clapping and yelling.  So she gets up on a chair and starts singing and we start dancing khigga in a restaurant surrounded by truckers and hookers.  Gotta love being Assyrian  :wavetowel:

hey baklawa...was i born when that happened.

Shamiram...what restaurant does he sing at...i wanna come next time

PS: just kidding baklawa!!!

I freakin' went insane trying to convince the Assyrian American Association of Southern California to bring him over here, but they never did!!!  :ranting:

Assyrians in Los Angeles are so pakheeh...ekh...they never listen to me!! Hahahaha!

He was awesome lastnight, the party was beautiful.  It brought back, so many childhood memories...

I hope to see more legends coming back, not those no name ones!
