They're off to a horrible start.  Just regurgitating their talking points.  They're not even paying attention to Gwen's questions, just barely touching upon the broad scope of the topic and then using it as a springboard to launch into their stump speeches.  Especially (no surprise) Palin who just said she was not there to answer the questions the way "the senator and moderator might like."  In other words, "I have my meme and I need to stick to it lest I f*ck things up any further for my ticket."
 
'I'm not going to answer your questions.. I'm going to answer the ones in my head'.

I guess that attitude is shared!

She sounds like a robot. She is just repeating everything that her camp told her. At least she has that scary ass smile on her face, right?  Robot!

Add to the list "maverick," "reform," "freedom," "democracy." She is simply trying to appeal to people's emotions and doing it in her folksy "I'm just like you" manner.  It's just so transparent.
 
...also...screw "brown people", "poor people", "non-Christians", "the gays"....you may have heard it as "smaller government" and "war on terror" and "family values" and "washington outsider".
 
How ironic.  This whole time everyone was worried about Biden coming off as condescending, yet she has done nothing but throw out vicious attacks and sarcastic remarks with that fake smile plastered on her face.  Referring to him constantly as "Joe" instead of Senator, while he graciously recognizes her as "Governor."

Can I just say that I have been quite disappointed in Gwen Ifil's questions.  I was hoping for more specific, out-of-left field questions, not these predictable ones that no doubt both candidates have been coached to death on.
 
Oh thank God, Joe is finally coming through in the 9th inning  :clap:  I think he just flipped out after hearing Palin say "maverick" for the 1,057th time and is just nailing that description of McSame.

Why is gender such an important topic within USA politics?
What is wrong with people, why are they so suprised that women (and I hate Palin btw) can actually talk and get somewhere in life..?

I didn't watch the debate, so can't comment on the other items, but as to this one, Obama call McCain John throughout the first half of last week's debate.  Just to be fair...

She seemed to have Tourette's syndrome -- "blah, blah, MAVERICK, blah, blah, MAVERICK."  Thankfully, Biden finally had it and towards the end just nailed her on that.
 
I know.
I also enjoyed how he nailed her when she went on about being a woman and raising a family, etc. he totally put her in her place
