Jim Kwik is one of my favourite podcasters and I happened to read his book “Limitless” . He is an American brain coach, podcaster, writer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Kwik Learning, an online learning platform; the host of the Kwik Brain podcast; and the author of Limitless, published in 2020. He recently turned 50 yars old and published a list of 50 lessons he learnt over his lifetime.

I thought this was very interesting so decided to write a summary points of all 25 lessons.

  2. Labels limit us
  3. Self-care is not selfish
  4. Progress is much greater than perfection
  5. The life we live are the lessons that we teach
  6. With great responsibility comes great power
  7. Our mindset shapes our reality
  8. Change is the only constant
  9. The importance of the Power of Pause
  10. You dreams define your direction
  11. Belief that everything is figureoutable
  12. Vulnerability is a strength it's not a weakness
  13. Kindness is a language everyone understands
  14. Mindful living over mindful living
  15. Life is a journey not a destination
  16. Do hard things: life is easy if you live it the hard way and hard if you live it the easy way
  17. It's better well done than well said
  18. There are no problems, only puzzles
  19. Compassion begins with understanding
  20. You have to believe in yourself and in your Limitless potential

  22. Don't judge a situation too quickly
  23. Make yourself proud
  24. Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from

  1. Your comfort zone is a nice place to visit but not much grows there
  2. Sometimes a loss is really a gain in disguise
  3. You have permission to rest
  4. Control the controllables
  5. Be a thermostat not a thermometer
  6. Dreams without discipline is delusion
  7. Questions are the answer you know
  8. If your mind is full then write, if your mind is empty then you want to be able to read
  9. Our time is limited but our mind is limitless
  10. Growth is hard and change can be painful but nothing is as painful as being stuck somewhere that you don't belong
  11. Knowledge is potential power
  12. The problem is not always the problem the problem is often our attitudes and our assumptions about the problem
  13. Improving just one percent a day equals a 37 times improvement over the course of a year
  14. Your today is more powerful than all of your yesterday's combined
  15. You don't inspire people by revealing your superpowers you inspire people by helping them
  16. Everyone I mean everyone can be our teachers
  17. Don't compare yourself to anyone but your best self
  18. There are no failures just failure to learn
  19. Stand guard to the doors of your mind
  20. Monitor your self-talk
  21. When you take a stand you uncover your strength
  22. Small steps can lead to big changes
  23. Pain can be a powerful motivator
