I was thinking, and wonder if you guys share the same sentiment….
France was already the heavy favourite to win the World Cup (maybe along with Spain). But now that Real/Mbappe has been eliminated from the CL league once again and all the backlash he has been receiving , he has a chip on his shoulder and wants to show everyone that he didn’t reach two World Cup finals by fluke. Which means we will have an even better and more determined Mbappe than what we saw in 2018 and 2022…. Think Ronaldo in 2002, after all the injuries and wanting to prove to the world why he was the best player out there at the time.
This may sound strange and despite his prolific goal scoring record, other than the World Cup he won 8 years ago at age 19, he hasn’t won much else that is of significance since. If we ignore his accomplishments in the French league, he has yet to win the CL, having played part in over 10 CL campaigns so far. I believe his most important accomplishment since winning the World Cup was getting France to the final again in 2022. And let us face it, if not for Neymar, PSG wouldn’t make the CL final in 2020.
And of course, at 27 years of ago and turning 28 in December, he is yet to win the BDO, something the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi, CR7 had already done at a similar age or much younger.

It may come down to his personality and attitude maybe, where he has to be a bit more of a team player and less of a director of how things should go?
