I was talking to my aunt in Syria and she told me that I used to say...

Chin non pa beka, which meant at that time "telefezion chemla, lit birqa" :smoke:
 
well , one thing i will never forget is this:

I am an Assyrian ( suryoyo) and in our dialect a lot of people say : I am suryoyo, not I am an Athuraya /Othuroyo....well my famiy does say that...now I was 4 years old and an old Assyrian neigbour said to me: Sara, what are you? I said: I am an Oturayto (Athuraya) and he was sooo mad at my mom, what do you teach your daughter and why is she saying that.... :giggle:

When I was a kid, for some odd reason I  used to pronounce words that start with a "d" as a "j".? Like the word "dream"..I use to pronounce it "jream."? I even spelled it like that way!? Weirdo, I know.
 
Me and my brother used to call my mom, "Chala." Either because my relatives referred to her as a "chaloo" or because her name is "Clara."I don't remember...hahaha.

Apparently mum says i was adorable when i said that  :blush2:
 
lol wen i was little i could not say the word frog...

my sister and my bro would always point out frogs and be like mary wat is that called

My parents told me that for the longest time as a child I used to refer to myself in the male form in Assyrian because I was so heavily influenced by my older brother. Hahaha, I used to say things like, "cheeneen," (my little word for "pcheneen" and even that was in the male form) "bayin azin," and "leh bayin" instead of like, "pchenten," "bayan azan," and "leh bayan." I was a retarded child. Hahaha.
