The two hottest Iraqi songs at the moment

They both sound exactly the same. Why does that repetitive 1-2, 3-4 beat plague the Iraqi dance songs? Lol

Btw the singer in the first video is cute. He looks Assyrian. :)

Iraqi has kinda music evolved. They didn't have that ubiquitous dance beat (as heard today) 10 years ago. The melodies still sound the same. They use the Phrygian mode, that's why.

Egyptian and Lebanese pop still sound the same though.

English music also sound the same melodically (or chord-wise). It's just that now, they're fusing genres, adding new "sounds" and rhythms (i.e. dubstep). Btw, dance music still hasn't evolved much. For instance, if you heard "How Deep Is Your Love" in a club in the late 90s it wouldn't sound out of place.
