LOL you beat me to this, I had it saved and I was going to post it! It was a great article, but I read it on NewYork Times.

But look at some of these countries, they are much larger than they currently are and would be harder for the west to control.

The trend now is to shrink these countries into smaller ones (Saudia into 5, Iraq into 3, Syria into 3 and so on...)

And in the article, they also talk about 'Constantinople' (current day Istanbul) and how it would be the domain of an international force and neither Turkey or Greece would own it. It would be like Jerusalem.

I hope the region gets bombed to smithereens. I don't like Arabs and Kurds claiming that they're equally as Mesopotamian as us or profiting off of our ancestors relics and history.

I don't like that too. But if they worked with us whilst acknowledging and accepting our history I actually wouldn't mind it.

Yeah, because Native Americans are so happy with their low income and drinking/gambling problems and weren't depicted as savages until maybe the 80's. Great example. I'd prefer complete assimilation in the West than living with A-rabs that will never produce a single thing to better humanity to save their lives.

I guess the West hasn't pushed Assyrians far enough from these people yet. It was naive of me to think so. Might as well go back to being a completely assimilated Assyrian American.

I didn't have my sexuality in mind. I rarely speak with my sexuality in mind anyway, unless if we're talking about Saudi Arabia or Iran.

I did say, IF THEY support us I'll support them. I guess this may include them supporting or accepting my homosexuality.

Assyrians also don't treat me and my sexuality with "open arms" and I fully support our culture & people. Let's face it, most of us are homophobic. Now should I hate my people because of this? Some are more ignorant towards gays than just plain hateful. It's better to teach them than to dismiss them and hate on them (Assyrian and Arab homophobes).
