The film centers on Taharqa, who was king of Egypt (from 690 BC to 664 BC) and a member of the Nubian or 25th dynasty of Egypt. He was the son of Piye, the Nubian king of Napata who had first conquered Egypt, and the younger brother and successor of Shebitku. The story is about Ethiopians battling Assyrians for the throne of Amun-Ra.

The film comes out next year in the cinema!
 
Can't wait to see this movie. Wonder how they will portray Assyrians in it? Strong and skilled in warefare or bloodthirsty as some like to portray us?

What a great movie it will be and I hope they portray the Assyrians good not like the monster in the 300 movie!

Ashoor, it says 2013 on IMBD with no specific date.. i think they are still deciding minor cast roles and producers, locations etc.

I will see what my Khati can find out for me, she has a few agents, they must be good for something lol.

As long as we do not look like Barbarians... and they keep it pretty historically accurate... theres nothing worse than a film that in only lightly based on history.
 
Didn't we Assyrians conquer Egypt? The movie will probably portray us as the bad guys so won't this mean the "bad guys" wins in the end?
