Pumpkin said:Francis Ford Coppolas The Godfather Trilogy i thought was supurb! The acting by Al Pacino, with that intense look in his eyes!
Marlen Brando, although was shortlived, his precense echoed throughout the trilogy well.
Salem said:My all time favourite film & trilogy. I'm glad that you finally watched it.
"Coppola" was my 1st nickname on an Assyrian chat room back in 1999, people would think I was "Copala", copala on their heads!.
Pumpkin said:Oh it was fantastic! Khas and I stayed up watching Part 2 & 3 last night. Did you get the whole thing about oranges? Oh and when his daughter gets shot!! No words to describe his acting skills in that scene!!! At the end, all the efforts he made to keep his family together, he was all alone. For nothing. He didnt even want the title in the first place, poor man.
The presence of oranges in the Godfather trilogy indicates that a death-related event will soon occur (even though production designer Dean Tavoularis claimed the oranges were simply used to brighten up the darkly shot film).
Pumpkin said:Yeh i know Sofia is Coppolas daughter, shes quite pretty.
The oranges were used to brighten up the room? If you search Godfather and oranges youll see that every character who had an orange around him, soon dies. Also i read that in Sicilian traditions, an orange is considered bad luck.

Pumpkin said:Shes pretty in an ugly way??? looool She can be pretty, shes natural? I duno, she looks Italian!
Im watching it again. Did you know they wanted James Caan to play Michael Corleones role? How horrible that would have turned out.
Pumpkin said:Yeh, i really liked it...Salem, you know now if i ever give you an orange...
Salem said:Make sure you peel it 1st.
Pumpkin said:LOL nope! Either way, youll get whats coming!
Ohh Poor Fredo...We were just wondering, should Micheal have killed him? Khas says killing Fredo went against everything. Poor Fredo!
Salem said:Fine, but in a private place, I don't like public kisses.
It didn't go against everything, there is nothing above loyalty in the mafia, betrayal brings about punishment, it is an important milestone in Michael's transformation from a normal person to the new boss of the family.
