Francis Ford Coppolas The Godfather Trilogy i thought was supurb! The acting by Al Pacino, with that intense look in his eyes!

Marlen Brando, although was shortlived, his precense echoed throughout the trilogy well.

My all time favourite film & trilogy. I'm glad that you finally watched it. :)

"Coppola" was my 1st nickname on an Assyrian chat room back in 1999, people would think I was "Copala", copala on their heads!.

Oh it was fantastic! Khas and I stayed up watching Part 2 & 3 last night. Did you get the whole thing about oranges? Oh and when his daughter gets shot!! No words to describe his acting skills in that scene!!! At the end, all the efforts he made to keep his family together, he was all alone. For nothing. He didnt even want the title in the first place, poor man.

That's Sofia, Coppola's daughter, a well-known director in her own right these days.

As for the oranges:

The presence of oranges in the Godfather trilogy indicates that a death-related event will soon occur (even though production designer Dean Tavoularis claimed the oranges were simply used to brighten up the darkly shot film).

Yeh i know Sofia is Coppolas daughter, shes quite pretty.

The oranges were used to brighten up the room? If you search Godfather and oranges youll see that every character who had an orange around him, soon dies. Also i read that in Sicilian traditions, an orange is considered bad luck.

I wouldn't go as far as calling her pretty, but she's an excellent director, The Virgin Suicides & Lost in Translation were brilliant, I also have Marie Antoinette but I haven't watched it yet.

Yes, I found the same results, oranges = death

Shes pretty in an ugly way??? looool She can be pretty, shes natural? I duno, she looks Italian!

Im watching it again. Did you know they wanted James Caan to play Michael Corleones role? How horrible that would have turned out.

James Caan is still a great actor, however I do agree, I like him much more as "Sonny".

Watching it again! You must have really liked it.

Fine, but in a private place, I don't like public kisses.

It didn't go against everything, there is nothing above loyalty in the mafia, betrayal brings about punishment, it is an important milestone in Michael's transformation from a normal person to the new boss of the family.

BASSOKH!

Ok, but he knew that his brother was incapable of making decisions, he was sucked into it, he was slow!!! Jareh. He was the boss before that act, wasnt he? Imagine if he hadnt killed him, though, people may have questioned his power, i guess. Poor Fredo :( POOR POOR FREDO.
