Sydney gang raids: 10 arrested linked to Assyrian woman leader

Oliver Merza stabbed a 16 year old boy and he's in jail right now? So sad and disappointed in him. I knew him in school. He was a very good guy, at least to me. I hope he rethinks his life, because there is good in him.

If you wanna be tough, be like Batman. Save the good people from bad ones. Defend your loved ones. Don't got out and stab kids, no matter how much of an ass they are.

I know two of them (one was a neighbor and the other was in my school). Lol.

She wasn't Assyrian, she was Eastern European. She just ran the marijuana syndicate in the gang and worked in an office job in the city. She was unsuspecting and is the lover of one of the gang members.

Because we're from Fairfield and Neon knows the older boys from high school.
I actually knew Oliver in primary school. He left in high school. Oliver saved me from an idiot who tried to hit me. And that idiot was the type of guy you'd expect to be in gangs, but now he's a normal grownup. Oliver was a good guy and he stood up for me in elementary school, although we were not friends. We also knew his parents and we've been to their house. Of course, this was like 20 years ago.

The other guy (who was shot last July in western Sydney) was our neighbour from like 15 years ago. He wasn't in my school. But naturally, since they were our neighbours, we used to play with him (soccer usually). After his shooting (he's recovering), his relative came from Europe and it turned out that my family knew them in Iraq. We invited the relative to our home and had lunch. :)

These are such weird coincidences anyway (that I know these gang members). I'm sure that many Assyrian "Fairfieldians" probably have no connection to them. ;)

P.S. There is another gang member that we know (his family, I mean). He's a target - And I mentioned this earlier. He lives in hiding and is trying to avoid the high-risk areas. His family are great people. They live in fear. They don't deserve to lose their son. My heart goes out for them and wish them safety.  :embarrassed:
