Std's: would you date somebody w/ one?

Question for you all. I met a girl. She was cool. She liked me, I liked her. BLAH BLAH BLAH... She said, "before we get serious, I have something to tell you....I have herpes."

What would you do? I made the choice of not talking to her again. There is no reason to do anything, when my goal was to date. Was I in the wrong? Could you have a relationship with someone with an STD? Would you want to? Is love stronger than that?
 
Herpes isnt something that can be cured. An outbreak can be controlled with medication... but theres a very high likelihood of the disease being passed on to you.. even if you only wanted to date what if u like each other things progressed and BAM u now have herpes... for the rest of ur life.. is it worth it?? NOPE! should you be thankful that she told you upfront? VERY much so.

Love is technically stronger then anything.... But its all up to you la..

If you only had the urge to date, casually, friendly, then why not, just date. Hang out etc... Yes it is an std, but I wouldn't say what you did was correct, You could have still done that, date, after all she is a normal human being. Mind you , not everyone is perfect.

If you did have other plans then just a chatty date, etc.. then I wouldn't say it was wrong,You didn't want the risks of it being passed down to you and you did what was in your gut and that's it.

herpes is bad well thats what i heared..like wingel is right u cant cure it
so dont date her..coz i wouldnt..if it pass onto u then u the the rest
 
Well that all depends on what you intention of dating her was. If you planned on having sex then you made the right choice. I don't know about totally not talking to her at all. I have a friend who has HIV, but I don't ignore him and all that, he's still an awesome person. I hope i helped you..

ramsin, if you really wanted to get to know this girl, putting everything aside, then i would say talk to her. there are ways around some and i believe only a few std's if sex is involved. of course that wasn't your priority right haha jk. honestly, if shes a great person, why break it off. she might be an interesting person if you leave your assumptions or judgements aside. good luck.
 
if i loved the girl id put it aside, none of us are perfect, and as long as you are carefull, have safe sex thiers nothing to worry bout

nooo.. my friend has herpes.. shes such a loser.. her ex gave em to her..

knowing she had it... she slept with some guy.. gave it to him.. then her ex gave em to some other girl... and he wondered why sooo many people wanted to kick his ass

In this case, herpes are stronger than love. You did the right thing.
