Brazil is still to me the team to beat. Serbia was rock solid at the back and certainly not wimps, but Brazil found a way to get 2 past the Serbs.
Argentina and Germany who I also fancied before the tournament have a mountain to climb after shock losses. Meanwhile their slayers, Saudi Arabia and Japan look set to make the second round (Japan is a certainty). Something not expected before the world cup started.
Canada are looking like the Morocco of 1994. I really hope they can actually win a game that they dominate.
Ghana, Morocco and Tunisia impressed from Africa even though Ghana lost their game. Cameroon took the game to the Swiss and so they can't be under estimated either.
Asia has Japan and Saudi Arabia flying their flag and South Korea to a lesser extent.
Canada has been the most impressive Concacaf team, even though they lost their opener. Mexico is in the box seat in their group after the fancied Argentina losing their opener.
South America has been represented by Brazil and surprise packet Ecuador. Uruguay is over rated and played like an over rated team. Argentina is not dead yet but they need to put the Saudi result behind them, or else Argentina 2022 will be the same as Argentina 2002.
Europeans, somebody needs to tell them they are in the Middle East and just like teams from Africa, Asia, North and South America, learn to respect the hosts. Spain, Portugal, Poland, Serbia and Croatia appear to be the only Europeans who are there to play football.

Australia and Costa Rica have been an embarrassment as predicted before the tournament. Iran was woeful against England too. They need to learn how to mark up in defence.
I hope the football is all we hear about from now on and not the woke garbage, especially from the Germans (who I have personally lost all respect for). Willa pakhta.
