Madonna and Guy Ritchie to divorce

LONDON - Madonna and filmmaker Guy Ritchie will end their marriage after nearly eight years, the couple said in a joint statement Wednesday.

The couple asked the media to ?maintain respect for their family at this difficult time,? said the statement, e-mailed to The Associated Press by Liz Rosenberg, Madonna?s publicist.

A financial settlement has not been agreed by the wealthy couple, who must also decide child custody issues.

It's Madonna she needs to reinvent herself every couple of years and that includes changing her partner. LOL

Anyways it's sad to see that because they have a child together and it sucks when families break up.

She was obviously concerned about his Shyamalanesque film direction. There can only be so many likeable and funny gangsters in the world.

He obviously wasn't pleased about her labia making a run for it whenever she put on a leotard.

Guy?s probably profusely thanking her in his head that this marriage has dissolved..maybe now he can concentrate on producing better work. And poor Madonna, she can?t help being a curse to these men in her life.

A major percentage of divorces happen in the time of 6-8 years post marriage. This is usually around the end of the 7-year cycle where people know everything about their partner and get bored.
 
Hmmm. Even though I don't read celebrity gossip, it sucks to hear that. But her album, "Hard Candy," has a great chance to be album of the year :).
