Sarah Vowell on Letterman

I find her fascinating.  She's so smart and an amazing writer.  Very apt at mixing wit with American history.  I loved her book "Assassination Vacation" where she goes on a road trip to all the important sites of political murders.  Of course she is an educated elitist, so take what she says about the current political election with a grain of salt.

Educated elitists should be running the country.  :mrgreen:  Well, maybe not the elitists.  But certainly the educated.  I don't want my President to "have a beer with me" nor do I want an airhead who believes in Jesus lizards and is a "haaaackey maaam" to be Vice President.  I want both to be brilliant.  And to never, ever watch haaaaackey. 

Vowell's awesome.  Except for her child-like speaking voice.  It's too cute for me to concentrate on what she's saying, which is usually brilliant and hilarious.
