Round of 16: Brazil vs. Chile

Brazil has had their numbers for the last 12 years, going back to the 1998 World Cup when Brazil beat them 4-1 in the second round. As well as in the recent 2010 qualifications and 2007 Copa America. But this is a much different Chilean team and won't be easy for Brazil.

Now that the first round is over, what do you guys think of Brazil? sure, we can't take much from today's game, but overall, with all 3 games played, how do you assess them? what are their strenths and weaknesses?

I know Brazil is the better team and I know that they have beaten Chile with ease in their last few encounters, but I don't think we should use these stats and facts to determine who will win today. I can't believe all these people on internet forums predicting an easy victory for Brazil.

Again, on paper, it all looks good for Brazil. But each game has its own circumstances, and anyone has a chance of beating anyone.

Thanks to Dunga though, you can rest assured that Brazil is not looking past Chile and to its next game, potentially against Holland.

Chile plays an open attacking style, which could either burn Brazil, or get them burnt by Brazil (although the latter is more likely, thanks to Brazil's great counterattack and their solid defense)

Nice from Brazil, even when the superstars can't score, you have the central defender scoring lol.

What is Juan doing at the other end anyway? Shouldn't he be defending? Lol it is ok will take it.

I will be happy with 2-0 win so they better start watching their goal. Still over an hour to go.

We need one more from Fabiano to become leading scorer with 4 goals (together with Higuian from Argentina)

Frustrating start from Brazil, but looks like they were merely heating their engine.

Anyway one more half and Brazil better pay attention to Chilean counterattack.

We've gone from probably the worst ref at this world cup in the Holland game to the best.

Good thing that he's let the game flow, another ref would of given 50 fouls by now with 10 yellow cards.
 
Every1 talks about Brasil Offence but these guys can play some Defence too, I say 3 - 0 final

Yes. If Chile had scored first, this would be a different game now. Thank God Brazil scored first.
