Hello Assyrian Voice,

Ever since school has started up, my RQotD's have been minimal and I apologize for that.  So lets get cracking for todays question:

AVN are you looking forward to the slew of holidays coming up? (i.e. Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, NYE)

I definitely am, holidays are great.  :mrgreen: I think Halloween is not exactly a holiday  :lol: but I absolutely love it, giving out candy, dressing up, making deliciously grotesque and cute treats, getting fat... I mean horror films  :giggle:... etc!

these are gonna be my first holidays spent with Jay.. so i cant wait  :clap:

not to mention, all the food that my moms gonna cook..mmm... and i hope my family will be able to come for christmas

Out of those holidays, I am really into thanksgiving because its family oriented and the fact that I am a very patriotic American instills a sense of pride for me on that day. I love xmas too because its like thanksgiving, but I just seem more into turkey day than any other holiday. Maybe when I have a family of my own, xmas will have more pertinence. And I don?t celebrate xmas because it?s the birth of Christ, because its not. December 25th is a pagan holiday incorporated into early Christianity by the Romans to accommodated roman non-Christians of late antiquity in better tolerating the religion. December 25th is actually the birthdate of a Roman pagan god called Mithras who predates Christ some 200 years.
 
Let's see -- a room filled with people who for the most part would have nothing to do with one another if they were not related, trying to make small talk about things like the weather and do their best to avoid topics that always seem to end up with fighting like politics, religion, current headlines, child-rearing, weight management, personal relationships, lifestyle, etc. ?Yeah, sounds like fun ?:bangin:
