Presidential Debate #3

Seriously, Joe the Plumber got way too much attention.

McCain didn't impress.  Obama wins.  He will be President.  We should be incredibly, incredibly proud: we will be the first non-African nation with a black man as President.

GO AMERICA!

I've seen Joe the plumber on TV here, I'm betting he'll be in a McCain ad soon.  He'll probably be on my local news tonight, we'll see.

Obama mentioned Toledo.  Woohoo Toledo!!!

The Supreme Court segment of the debate was very good.  Not something they talk about but Obama did a great job laying out his case.  I think if there was one main reason that I could be persuaded to vote for Obama with my precious Ohio vote, it would be this issue.  Having a community based lawyer making a nomination for the Supreme Court is something that just may sway me away from voting for Nader.

Overall McCain seems very frustrated that his attacks are not sticking.  He seems to be thinking about how Bush got that stuff to stick to him, why can't I get it to stick to McCain?  His frustration comes out in is stuttering and short statements made to interrupt Obama like he's trying to throw a quick dart.  He's realizing he's got a failed strategy and that he's going down in flames.

Joe the plumber's conclusion at the end of the debate was that McCain spoke very well on the issues dealing with middle class Americans like himself and that Obama was well spoken.  :ROFLMAO: I think we all know what that's code for.

He has no clue what he's talking about?

Boo yourself.  If anyone's doing any booing around here it's gonna be me.  I partially agreed tonight that I'm closer to voting for Obama.  BOO!!

McCain was always smiling...it was kind of funny. Hahahaha! I still wish it was dirtier.

The negative ads part pissed me off. And I hate how McCain wanted Obama to "repudiate" all that crap.

I really liked how Obama laid out his strategies. It kind of irritated me that McCain wouldn't stop attacking to lay down his policies as clearly as Obama presented them.

And at times I felt like the only vote they cared about was Joe the Plumber because they kept mentioning him and talking to him "directly."

I know! I was like...damn, stop! Use a freakin' thesaurus and find another word!

Confession time....

I wasn't going to reveal this until after the election, but......I don't really mind McCain *ducks to avoid hurling objects*  Obviously I would never want him as president because I disagree with his ideology, but the guy never made me hurl the way the current president does.  That's why watching this performance really made me pity him.  You could almost tell that he did not want to lodge those personal attacks, but seemed to be forced into doing so by his handlers.  That was never really his style, especially since he was at the receiving end of such despicable tactics back in 2000 by bush's thugs (who now are advising McCain's campaign.)

I watched the Frontline special last night that profiled both McCain and Obama and it was really interesting to see the McCain of 2000 -- repudiating the likes of Falwell and other extremists in his party -- to the McCain of 2008.  He was a maverick then.  Not anymore.

I saw that last night too.  I felt bad for him in 2000, but he showed what a truly Washington insider he is in this election with the tactics he's resorted to.  I've never cared for his empty rhetoric but I also don't think this type of campaigning is his style.  That's why he always seems so uncomfortable doing this.

i bought an obama pin today.....i walk around campus proud

waleeta i hope your prediction is right, but i wont believe it until fox news announces it.....

I will watch fox news on election night just for kicks.

Does it really make a difference who is voted in? Honestly?

Obama will just make it seem like the Divided States of America isn't going down in flames.

This is why movements are necessary by us, the people.  They turned McCain into something their voterbase wants:  a conservative nutjob who attacks people instead of ideas, and who wraps God and the flag around him instead of reason and logic.

It isn't McCain.  He is the product of a....for lack of a better word....really stupid electorate.
