Possible proposal RE Nineveh Planes problem

I think I have come up with a pretty good solution on this tense issue.

I have come to the conclusion that the bottom line we have these Makhrewaneh in our culture is because of the involvement of Zowaa in this proposal. The biggest fear they have is that if this legislation passes, and an Assyrian Administrative Region (herein AAR) is granted to the people of the Nineveh Planes, is that Zowaa would become the head of the region.

We know the amount of hatred they have towards Zowaa and Yonadam Kanna. We know how much they despise the once revered organization known as ADM. We know this.

So how can we win them over? How can we win over the Turkomen living in that region? How can we win over the Yezidi and Shabak living in Nineveh Planes? How?

Simple! FREE ELECTIONS.

Institute a bylaw stating that if the AAR is formed that there would be free elections held throughout the region, under the watch of the UN and independent election agencies from the world. The elections would be to fill in the seats of the government with the political party gaining the most seats electing a president/prime minister for the region.

This way, it ensures them that it will not necessarily be a member of ADM. That it could in fact be a member of their own party, if they gain enough votes.

The region would be divided into jurisdictions or voting areas and members elected would be the representatives of their respective regions.

What do you guys think?

Hey dude,

There already WILL be free and fair elections.  The NPAU will NOT, in anyway shape or form, go under "ADM" rule.  Even they have said this - Zowaa will run in the ensuing elections, and, I am quoting Ninos Bithyou here - "hopefully we will win, just like any election".

So the fear of these people is either based on ignorance in not knowing what the NPAU will be, or they just Hate Zowaa just because.

Of course that is the case and thats how it should be anyway, my thing is, we need to show them how this could benefit them. I think right now it appears as if it will only benefit Zowaa and Yonadam Kanna. This is what they see. Again, the hatred has blinded them.

They forget Zowaa is not the only political party in the region and in fact, its not that far from reality that a Kurdish, or Islamic group wins power in the Nineveh Planes.

Word.

Now I have a completely serious question:

How much should it be our job to educate the public on such basic matters as poli sci 101, and how much of this is the burden of the ADM to explain, and the burden of Assyrians to understand?

Are Assyrians at the point where everything must be explained and laid out in front of them?
