Who do you nominate for Assyrian Person of the Year?

Mine is "Sam Darmo". Not that I totaly agree with what he says and does, but this guy has been relentless in 2007.

Michael Youash, Director of the Iraq Sustainable Democracy Project (ISDP) in Washington D.C.  He continues to remain relentlessly focused on issues that truly matter to the Assyrian nation, specifically our rights in the homeland and the abuse our people there continue to suffer under the rule of the KRG.  And he does all this with limited financial resources, and the added burden of having obstacles constantly placed in his way -- even by his own people.

omg do I see my name here? lool wow, appreciated, but come on please, let us get serious  ..........

Anyway, before we answer this question, it helps to define what you mean bu 'Person of the Year" Is it:

-The one who generated the most noise and popularity on the Assyrian scene
or
-The one who done the most good for Assyrians?

I think it is combination of both.

Based on that, I nominate the following:
-Michael Youash: he has been working tirelessly to lobby for our Assyrian issue
-Younadam Kanna: His work in the Iraqi parliament, and to get Assyrians their protection and rights in Iraq
-Cardinal Mar Dali: he has been elevated to a Cardinal, how great is that?
