What's with the title of your post? Even the biggest haters of Israel/Zionism still have the intellectually honesty to name "Israel" if they want to address the Israel nation (i.e. Candace Owens). Your post made it sound like Christians are persecuted in the so-called Islamic state of Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), in which indeed they are. Islamic intolerance is rife there. So you're 100% right that persecution of Christian does occur thoroughly in Palestine. But you deny the state of Israel and prefer the Hebrew-Roman name

Regarding persecution of
Christians in Israel, that priest is right to an extent. It happens in the most conservative Jewish areas of Jerusalem, which includes spitting at Christians (including poor nuns) and cursing at crosses. It's khmaroota and religious insanity. I'd arrest & question them. I would never defend religious bigots from all sides.
But then again, this minister/priest (Reverend Munther Issac) will still be more safe in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv than in Islamic Palestinian cities like Ramallah, Gaza, or any other Muslim cities like Baghdad and Cairo for that matter (if he were to walk around in his costume). Heard of Coptic bishops being beaten by Islamists in Egypt? At least Jews don't beat you. But they don't have to bow down to you just because you're a Christian minister.
Sorry, but Israel can't kiss the feet of ministers and priests, like the US does. And this Palestinian minister should know this because Israel is not a Christian country. Surprise, surprise. Btw, horrific Christians (and their ministers) exist too in the US. They'll be discriminatory towards atheists, gays and even Jews (some are very antizionist as much as there are very Zionist Christians). There is hate and discrimination everywhere. So Jews aren't excepted.
Israel doesn't recognize some Jewish groups too. Maybe Evangelicalism is a dangerous ideology for them. I can understand why they're threatened by them. They see evangelicals like that stalker girlfriend who is obsessed with you and think you're special when you just want to get away from her (since evangelicals get off so hard by thinking Jews are God's chosen people and Israel is like God's land on earth). Heck, even our own Assyrians can't stand "injeeleyen" and some would slam them as "hoodayeh" (as if that's an insult). I actually defend evangelicals from such Assyrians. I don't care much about evangelicals. I like their entertaining Arabic gospel music. But their homophobia turns me off and they can be hyper about Jesus and the bible. They're a bit too preachy and fundamental. So I can get why some people don't want them around.
And now regarding you my friend Mar Mari...Habibi, all this blah blah about Jews & yet it was a Muslim who stabbed you (and almost killed you) at the end. Jews will not accept Christ and never will. Who cares? It's their religion nasha. You can't change their religion. And it's sad that they put this under "Christian persecution". Not believing in Jesus does not mean you "persecute" Christians. Sheesh.
