Ontarians, what do you think of the upcoming HST?

Ontario is set to blend its PST and GST into one tax, the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)

The government says that this is good for business, and will translate into 600,000 new jobs in the next 10 years.

For the consumer though, it will mean they will be taxed for things they weren't before. This will mean hundreds or even thousands of new taxes out of our pocket every year. For example, home buyers, will have to pay 13% instead of the current 5% on the purchase of a new home over $450,000 (which is to say, for most! lol)

Are you for or against this tax? do you believe the liarbral government about the jobs this tax will create? I certainly don't. 600k jobs??? that is one carefully manipulated number, with lots of 'some restrictions apply'

Ontario votes get the government they deserve. Lie after lie. broken promise after broken promise. And tax grab after tax grab. Not to mention, spending scandal after spending scandal. KEEP VOTING LIBERAL, IF YOU LIKE TO BE LIED TO, CHEATED ON, AND YOUR POCKED EMPTIED.

Hey, you guys in Canada have it alot better than us here in Michigan. First of all it's not ghetto, secondly there's more jobs (I would hope so!) and of course third being the health care. I'm also guessing you all haven't lost at least 1/3 of the value of your house as well.

Stupid libs.

What's the point in offering new jobs if people are just gonna have to work longer to afford the cost of living in a house?
