Please find below official voting information in English from the Independent :)lmao:) High Electoral Commission of Iraq.

While they are highly biased and disorganised at least they have produced this for us.

OK So now I'm confused.

I was told I can vote because my Grandmother is Iraqi. But how can I prove this? First of all, even if I could, is that still allowed?

I want to know because thats 3 possible votes.

I reckon if you are still unsure show up on the day and see if they allow you to vote - its worth the attempt I think.

Very good point CA. I know it may be too far for some people to travel for nothing, but I keep telling people what the rules are and if they are still not sure, just show up and do your best. Nothing is set in stone 100%.

Enki, you guys are so lucky, the voting center is very close to you guys.

We're lucky in Arizona as well.  The voting center is only a few miles away.

URGENT!

Please spread the word, there are new instructions from IHEC that baptismal certificate is ok to vote.

Please let all our community know that if a person does not have a baptism certificate, it can be issued by our churches according the these information:

1. complete first last name of the child (person)
2. complete name of father
3. complete name of mother
4. date of birth

if you do not know province of birth it could be checked by the church.....

If I missed anything else please add to this list and get all the information ASAP.... these certificates will be issued early morning tomorrow to be ready for our voters to participate in elections....

If you get names of people you can forward them to me and I will continue with the process....

God bless,
Tania Hermis

See from all I can gather on their website is that I Can NOT vote.

Keep in mind, I was born in Syria and so was my dad. My grandma (dad's mother) was born in Iraq. But the question becomes, how do I prove she's my grandma? We don't have that family document thing. Its in Syria.

So then what? Am I even allowed to vote with just my grandma being Iraqi?! Ahh the mess of it all!
