New Assyrian movie coming out "The Assyrian"

I heard of this on Reddit. Too bad that it's an independent movie. Its production company has done only one movie (besides this). And that movie barely has over 7 votes on IMDb. I wouldn't be surprised if this movie only comes out on YouTube.

We deserve an Assyrian movie by a company like Warner Bros or Fox.  :icon_sad:
 
That is so cool. Never heard of it until I read it here. It is about time we had a movie about Assyrians.

Imagine some of the top actors performed in it as well. Would really promote our cause.

Yes, and a lot of prominent Hollywood actors can pass as Assyrian.  :mrgreen:

George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, James Franco, Sean Connery, Shia LaBeouf, Richard Gere, Julia Roberts...

I have met a couple of Assyrians who resemble these people.

About that movie, anything can happen. Maybe a word of mouth through social media (which is strong nowadays) would help it become popular?

Steven Segal.. When I was a kid, my parents would tell me he was Assyrian all the time!

I'd love to see an Assyrian movie.. not documentary, but an actual movie.. would be awesome

Oh yeah, the closest movie about Assyrians (well, Akkadians) was The Scorpion King with Dwayne Johnson - He was an Akkadian. You heard of it or watched it? (Since you're a wrestling fan you might be familiar with The Rock's work :mrgreen:)

They even mention Assyrians, albeit in a daunting light - "we have killed...THE ASSYRIANS" *people cheer* Lol...

 
There are rumours of an ancient Assyrian movie which would star Harrison Ford. I heard this from a relative. Could be an Assyrian rumour that's just going around. Anyone heard of it?

Anyway, they might be talking about Indiana Jones 5? The first film covered Egyptians, the second Indians, maybe Indie 5 would be about us?
