We got some sad news from Iraq two days ago, but I decided to keep it to myself for a few days, as many birthdays were going on here.
My cousin (third cousin) from Baghdad, Iraq got killed in the city of Tirkrit, the hometown of Saddam Hussien.
The guy, who was only 21 years old, worked with Americans for more than 2 years I beleive. He would stay in their compound for weeks, and only go back home once every few weeks.
Three days ago, he left his work, after having gotten his $500 USD check. He used to work with two of his Assyrian cousins and other Muslims. His two cousins had already left to Baghdad, while he stayed behind with his Muslim friends.
Then he left, but they told him "wait, let us go driving and have some fun, since we got our checks...." (driving and having fun in Tikrit :bangin: )
But he told them he can't, because his dad was expcecting him back home soon. But they insisted, and he agreed.
And that was it. Even though it is not confirmed, but his Assyrian cousins said that it is those guys who killed him to get his money and pay.
Like I said, he worked with the Americans for years and had saved over $15,000. But the problem is, no one knows where he put that money!!!
They are looking for the money, since his family needs it for burial, post-burial and funeral costs. But he never told them where his money was,. and they never bothered to ask him.
His body was returned to Baghdad two days ago. He had been shot only once in his forehead.
