Maryrdom

I was contemplating this today at work.
Martyrdom,shohada,sadeh, is important to both Christianity and Islam but Christian and Islamic marytrs die under very different reasons.
Ours die horrible deaths at the hands of empire and those who persecute.whereas theirs die from terrorist bombings.
It's not martyrdom if you seek out death.

Exactly, the only muslim martyrs are ones like the Peshmerga soldiers who die fighting sub-human Isis.

Muslim Martyrdom = die while fighting offensively or defensively via Jihad
Christian Martyrdom = killed for practicing Christianity.
