Shlama!
My name is Adam and I am a part of the Assyrian diaspora. My ancestors fled Hakkari into Nineveh and in modern times moved to the UK.
I grew up speaking English and some Assyrian (alqosh dialect) but I only know a few phrases and some basic grammar.
I would like to learn Turoyo like my great grandfather spoke. Unfortunately, I live in an area where there are no Assyrian churches and no Assyrian community.
I'd like to learn online so if anyone here knows good resources for learning Turoyo, please send them to me!
Most importantly though, :english:
I've found a few books on learning Turoyo but sadly they are all in German and Swedish so anything in English is extremely helpful.
If someone could help me with the grammar of Turoyo and some vocabulary that would be great. I've seen a few threads around here but nothing Turoyo specific.
