I have read the Book of Mormon for a Religious Studies class for most intends and purposes and I am highly befuddled by their positions towards Assyrians and Chaldeans and the strong language [vitriol] that Joseph Smith uses, let alone their unusual views regarding the Apocalypse, marriage as an institution, etc. So I was wondering any LDS Assyrians out there or do you know of any and what is your/their position on JS's take on Assyrians?

Can you share some of their views of us? I don't know much about their religion, but I knew a few of them from school and this is the first I have heard of it.
Basically they have to pray everyday for the death of all Assyrians and Chaldeans and the destruction of all our ancestral lands due to the invasion of Jerusalem and the Babylonian captivity. I am sure there is a lot of more vitriol but this is basically everything in a nutshell, from my opinion and a summarizatiob. Read their book and you will find out everything. Our neighborhood got overrun by them for a few year before they returned to Orem and I got a hand on their book and read it and found this vitriol.
