I agree with what you have written there but i suppose we may all be guilty of the knee jerk reaction you speak of. In fact it is such lines of divisions that have turned many assyrian youth away from being involved with promoting and working towards the rebuilding of Assyria.
My personal reaction has been to take an individualistic approach, i am not preaching the dectorines of any political or religous groups and i am not a member of any group or side. i will do all i can at an individual level be it writing letters to local MPs gathering support or to publications who attempt to discredit our history and soverign right for our lands.
what you speak of in your article is evident in our community but rather than a visionary solutions i think if everybody regardless of religous political or linguistic alignments did their bit for promoting Assyria and its right to fly its flag, we will get what is rightly ours.
