Something just flashed on the screen, which was a surprise to me: Bellingham, at 20 years old, has already played 30 games with the national team, scoring a total of 3 goals in the process. This got me thinking:
• How did he manage to play this many games at just 20 years old? Mind you, a lot of these could be limited minutes, but it’s still impressive.
• This brings me to an inevitable comparison with Vinicius Jr., as they both (very coincidentally) have the exact same number of goals/games: 3 in 30 (what are the odds!).
• Digging into their numbers a bit deeper: Vinicius has 3 goals and 5 assists in 1,713 minutes of play, while Bellingham has 3 goals and 5 assists in 1,995 minutes of play (even their assists are the same!).
• While Vinicius is 3 years older, Bellingham has played an extra 275 minutes, equivalent to about 3 extra games (thanks, Tite!).
