Hi everyone! I think this may actually be the first time something like this has been done in AVN?s rich history.

AVN and I are working on an extremely important project. As a result, we are looking for 2 or 3 qualified candidates to assist us in this.

Please note, this is a paying job. It is not a CASH job. It is a business and as such, we will pay you a salary.

It is NOT a full time nor a part time position. It is simply a contract that extends for the duration of this project. It will also not take up a lot of your time.

Qualifications & Requirements:

The Business Associate is responsible for contributing and assisting in the building of a Business and Marketing Plan for a new project for the AssyrianVoice.net website.

Requirements:
- Minimum of College Diploma in a business related field
- Strong knowledge of marketing methods
- Excellent organization, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to function independently as well as in a team

Assets:
- Familiar with ecommerce and emarketing
- Previous experience in merchandising and retail

Yes and no.

The reason being is it is not 100% for sure that the project will be launched. It is in a the early stages of development. No business plan has been established and as such, there really is no company without it.

Until that plan is developed, the project can't be launched.

What it will be is an online shop. The purpose of the shop and what will be sold can't be disclosed as it is not established yet in a plan. We could sell bicycles or hummos. Don't know yet until that plan is developed.

Secondly, it is preferred that the candidate be from Toronto only to make meetings a lot easier. It is also easier for income tax purposes when we pay the salary.

This does not mean we will reject a candidate simply because they live somewhere else. If they are more qualified than a Toronto candidate, we would consider them greatly, absolutly.

The tasks are simple. Help us develope the Business Plan and Marketing Plan. That is the task. Working along side us on one of those plans and getting paid for it. Theres nothing more to this position really.

Thanks for also reminding people about the Social Insurance Numbers for the CPP and Income Tax purposes. You must be legally able to work in Canada to be accepted for that position.

Being Assyrian, I know a few that work under the table. This is a legit position so none of that will be happening here.
