Who ever that guy was, I flipping love him! He said what we all truely feel and I respect that so much! I agree, it may cause harm, but I think by now, it doesn't matter what we say, do, not do, they will attack us no matter what! Wake up all you politically correct puppets! THIS IS A WAR NOT A WAK IN A PARK! We have been fighting this WAR since the fall of Saddam. WAKE UP!

Yeah, he did so much to help our people back home.  What bravery  :nea:  Interrupting someone speaking and causing a scene.

There were non-Assyrian people there as well.  I know one muslim woman who made the trip from Indiana, one who has been very supportive of Assyrian issues.  I'm sure she and others who share our grief really enjoyed that.  Kudos to Waleeta for shutting that down.
 
Let me be as clear and as politically correct as I can.

Although I don't like to create religious tensions, bottom line remains, it was an unprovoked attack! We have had these attacks for YEARS upon YEARS!

These attacks, love it or hate it, are NOT ALL because we are Assyrian. I am willing to bet my house that 90% or more are because we are simply, CHRISTIANS! Islam, in its true form, teachs and encourages you to slay nonbelievers where they stand.

This was again, unprovoked and we as a self described "nation" need to wake up and stop trying to be so goddamn politically correct. Its our "correctness" that has created this lost faith in our politics and in our hope of ever achieving our end goal of a free and independent Assyrian nation.

So, to be non politically correct, F!CK ISLAM AND ALL IT STANDS FOR!

You can voice your displeasure all you want, but we have to be mindful that we (those of us living in the comforts of the west) don't have to worry about any ramifications for what we say.  Others end up paying for it.  The organizers of the protest know full well that these videos get shown all over the world, and they certainly didn't want to given those animals any more excuses (because those bastards are always looking for one) to carry out yet another attack (which we know they will.)
 
Just because I think people are such idiots when it comes to the REAL islam, I've posted a few quotes I've found in their books. Please note, these are arabic translated to english. If you wish to discover these quotes in the Quran, use an Arabic Quran and not the English Quran for Dummies. There are MAJOR discrepencies amongst them. My fiance and I have both done our research on Islam and yes, it is amazing how it is defended in the west. F!UCK the religion. I hope God has mercy on their souls!

I know exactly what you are saying. Unfortunatly, I respectfully disagree.

I disagree and leave you with one question. What was the instigating factor that resulted in the bombing of 66 Churchs and the killing of hundreds of Assyrian Christians in Iraq, post Saddam? Did we burn their book? Did we bomb a mosque? Did we kill a clerc? Did we rape and torture women and children?

Answer those and you'll see why it doesn't matter any more what we do or say, the attacks will always come unless we realize we are at war and seek funding for an immediate militia/army to specifically protect the Assyrians in the Nineveh Plaines.

We need to mobilize all Assyrians from all over Iraq and move them North. Settle the north and build an army. Seek independence and call in the UN. Do whatever it takes but don't fear your enemy! Especially do not show your fear of them.

Did you hear what he said ?this is bullshit? we truly lack structure and agenda in our protests.
Last time I went to a protest half the speakers were asking for a self admin region the other were asking for more visas for our people to leave.
Also the banning of the Assyrian flag didn?t help the cause either.
We need a unified approach sending one clear msg protesting worldwide at the time.
They should have given this guy the Mic.

Unfortunately, the powers that be in our community, have a sence of entitlement. The truely believe they are speaking on behalf of ALL Assyrians (ok I exagurate, MOST) when in fact, they are speaking on behalf of the 10-15 of the people that are in the organizing committee and their families.

I've been involved in countless protest and countless awareness functions here in Toronto. Its the same BS over and over. The sence of entitlement is ridiculous. Its time to shift to the right on the political spectrum with our Assyrian parties. Out with the Liberalistic BS that has seen our population go down nearly 50% in Iraq and the attacks continue to increase since this whole "Movement" (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH ZOWAA PLEASE!) started at the fall of Saddam.

I respect and completely agree with what you had done at the protest. As an organizer, you can not allow for a protest to spiral out of control and quick action was taken to curve that. I complement you.

However, don't you think that his anger and his frustration is warrented? Who's to say he wasn't directly impacted by what has been transpiring in Iraq for almost a decade?

We are seeing these attacks that are occuring for no reason what so ever! Now, because some guy in Chicago, our attacks will be doubled?! Its already happening. Its already a reality.

There is no sugar coating it. No matter what is said or done, it will continue. If anything, I think its time to show our anger and really unite in bringing together the creation of a formal milita funded by the UN/US/whomever!

We had overwhelming success - nothing every seen like this before Chicago.

It was a stupid thing to say that does absolutely nothing. But again, hey, at least it made him feel good, la? There was, thankfully, overwhelming applause when he was removed. By all Assyrians of all ages there.

If people just want to make themselves feel good and get their anger out, why don't they pack a bag, go to Baghdad, stand in the street, and yell out everything about Islam and Muhammed that's in their hearts there. At least then they can reap what they sow.

 
I feel sorry for that really tall guy behind him, he didn't want to be seen in the same area as a douchebag like that.  Also, it doesn't really matter what this douche's message was, the protest was about stopping the killing of Christians in Iraq not a theological discussion about who Jesus was.
 
It takes a real tough guy to yell something from the back of a crowd in the United States. What a straight-shootin' tough guy. I got news for all of you guys: Jesus is the play-pretend nothing of nobody. How about that?

Children do things because they feel good. Adults do things to obtain an objective. What a surprise--the most religious fundamentalists are stuck in the most infantile state of mind.

I agree with that 100% but I just have to admire a man who has the guts to say what is on his mind and not be so ?political correct?

You need 1000 more people like him with armed with flares and stones then you have your worldwide media coverage.


 
Fortunately, the Muslim Americans standing next to him showed their civility when not only did they refuse to budge, but stayed to march with us "In solidarity with Iraq's Christians" all the way to the federal building. :) It was a beautiful sight.

That young woman nearly brought me to tears.  How can any moron yell something so absolutely stupid at that very moment?  This man has no brain in his giant head.

He didn't have the "balls" to say anything relevant to the situation.  Why on earth is anyone praising such idiocy?  He could've yelled "Porky Pig is the God of Big Bird" and it would've made about as much sense.

Who are we to judge a guy for expressing his opinion? Weather you agree or not, that is your own opinion, much like it was his own.

In Chicago, Waleeta did the right thing and had him removed before it escalated. I don't know about the AZ situation.

This sense of entitlement though, seriously, needs to end. We have nothing yet act as if we are the sh!t and we know everything and are the cure for all of our problems....I need to stop before I'm black listed again. Good night.
 
I don?t even agree with the guy, I call people like him the Assyrian hezbolla, I just love the fact he caused controversy at a hippie style protest. The dude shouts out his opinion and oh god they send 3 cops after him the look on people?s faces was priceless, our numbers in Iraq will come down to zero and you people are still worried if we might offend others. Imagine if the protest turned violent I think some of our people would have fainted.
 
So, this one guy has a right to express his opinion by interrupting a speech and shouting over people? Do you think that's how an event works? Everybody shows up and shouts whatever they feel like? Should people be allowed to show up at any event they want and scream whatever they want because otherwise we're "hippies"? Are we really this unsophisticated as a people?

What's sad about this story is that out of everything we did , all the time and effort everyone spent to make a point......... HIS "message" was only thing that made it on that site.

I couldn't hear the girl talk at all when i was at the protest, I'm glad i got to see the video.
