it might be a good idea for this country to pay attention to the growing Dust Bowl crisis thats occuring right here. Oh wait, I forgot. Our president doesn't care about his own people. Read below to see what the hell I'm talking about. We spend billions sending troops to a country that quite honestly is not that important when compared to our problems here and we basically ignore our very own people:

Every one cares now because it's hitting suburban America?  Please.  If Iraq was not important, then we wouldn't be there in the first place.

if 'important' includes the interests of the wealthy few who stand to benefit from oil and redevelopment contracts (which includes some Assyrians I know pretty well), then yes, its important. If 'important' only comprises of geopolitical and social welfare issues, then our presence in Iraq is far from being important.
