How do you Rate Messi so far?

4 games in, Messi is yet to score. Now I don't care if you are going to tell me that he doesn't need to, because others are already scoring. It is not like he is not trying. He is, but he just can't finish right. On the other hand, he has been pretty good at helping his teammates to score.

So the question is, and I wanted to ask this now, just in case Argentina loses against Germany and leaves: how do you rate Messi's performance so far? Has it been great, good, average ? (obviously it wouldn't be poor, so that is not an option)

I am not sure how old Maradonna was im 1986, but we all know that he not only played amazing, he also scored many beautiful goals ( heck he even scored with his hand)

And I finally read in a local paper a report about Messi being criticized for having yet to score.

Your opinion please?

I asked about Messi and not about Brazilian players and I thought I was so into Brazil lol!

I don't need a Brazilian to be the best in tournament as long as they play the best as a team.

But I would love to see a Brazilian to win top scorer for sure :)

I think he's had a quiet, but very successful tournament so far.  He hasn't needed to carry the team, but his playmaking is superb.  Every time he gets the ball he draws two or three defenders to him and this opens space for Tevez and Higuain.  On top of that he draws fouls because the defenders are so scared of him and they play him very tight and rough.  Without him this would be a very different team.

the whole concept of argentina before this world cup was to build a team around magic messi. he plays a diffrent role in spain then he does internationally but ashoor.. if this guy scores only one goal and catches fire.. u can kiss your brazilian lovin asss good bye lool. jk. :imsorry:
