Honest question to BNDP and Dadisho supporters

First and foremost, this is not a thread made as an insult. This is strictly something for me to gain an understanding on.

My question is, what have BNDP and Mr. Sargon Dadisho done for the Assyrian community in Iraq and surrounding areas? I know they ran in the previous election and won a few votes, but I was never sure as to what they actually have contributed to the Assyrians in that region. I know their contributions in California, but thats not the point.

So if someone can just inform me of this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

To those that are instantly going to rip into this thread, please try to refrain from doing so. This is for my own benefit and I don't want it to become a shouting match. Having said that, Shami and mods, please, if you don't mind, erase any negative comments like "They've done nothing" by members of the opposition parties until someone from the Sargon Dadisho side has been able to give me an honest and legitimate answer.

anki BNDP is in so many different factions that its too hard to answer that questions. in all fairness the crew here in sydney which split from dadisho has done a fair bit in raising money for iraq over the years. in terms of the other factions i really doubt they have done anything material.

dadisho got a compensation payment back in 2003 for $2.4m alasas due to an assasination attempt by saddam on him. the compensation he received came from iraqi frozen assets, not saddams. how much of that money has dadisho actually given back to his people ??? while our people starve and flee their country he sits behind a screen and proclaims himself oomtanaya. i asked him this same question back in 2003 in both a personal email and open letter to zinda. still waiting for an answer.

i got a better question for you, what has the AUA done to help assyrians financially. considering they have excessive monetary reserves.

ill give you an example. here in sydney they indirectly run the akitu festival which gets about 5,000 visitors @ $10 a pop. thats about $50k. about half of that goes to expenses for the venue and singers etc and the rest makes its way into the coughers.

politics asside, so far the only material benefits i have seen so far have been from zowaa and individual assyrians who feel for their people and dig deep into their pockets. churches may have helped, but clergy has neglected our people (not gonna get into it for obvious reasons)

But just to make one quick correction on your information. The first political organization was the Assyrian Democratic Organization which was founded in 1957. In fact it is their 50th anniversary this year.
