Today was the second round of the Asian qualifications for the 2018 World Cup, and both Iraq and Syria played.

Syria beat Cambodia 6-0 while Iraq tied Thailand 2-2.

What is impressive about today and these two teams, is that for the first time ever (someone correct me if I am wrong) two Assyrians scored for their respective teams:

Sanharib Malki for Syria
Justin Meram for Iraq

And if you want to take this further, an Armenian scored for the Iranian national team today as well, beating India 3-0. The player is Andranik Teymourian who was one of Iran's best players in last year's world cup.

......................... He just thinks he's Aramean lol. Don't know why an Aramean would name their kid after an Assyrian king.

So if you have an assyrian name you have to be assyrian?. Nobody can name their child sanharib unless they are assyrians?. if he calls himself aramean he is aramean no matter his name.

I find it peculiar why you would name your son after a prominent Assyrian king who was different to Arameans. Like me calling my son Muhammad. He can have whatever name but it's like having a son called Ashur and saying you're Aramean. That's out of the norm.

My sister's name is Natasha.  Does that make her Russian?  I know an Assyrian named Romario.  Does that make him Brazilian?

I'd also like to point out that I know a Tunisian man who named his kids after famous Carthaginians (Hannibal, Hasdrubal, and Hasdrubal Gisco)
