Wow, even I didn't offer to re-watch the movie. You're making me look bad Salem! But you are so incredibly sweet to help this desperate soul understand the movie, believe me, she'll appreciate it. Although she didn't appreciate my help, pshhh.

Just kidding... :angelnot:

^ yup that's mostly correct, but I forgot about the part about his wife being the actual diebetic and it was he himself who ended up killing her by giving her too much insulin, she OD'd. Here, I just found this.

"Teddy (Joe Pantoliano) did not murder Leonard's (Guy Pearce's) wife (Jorja Fox); he was using Leonard to rip off the drug dealers. It was Leonard himself who accidentally killed his wife. You see, Sammy Jankis (Stephen Tobolowsky) was real, and Leonard *did* investigate his claim, but Sammy wasn't married. Leonard used the Sammy story to block out the memory that it was *his* wife who had diabetes. She actually survived the rape, and died of insulin overdose later, while trying to test Leonard (who developed his "condition" during that assault). Leonard, with the help of Teddy, had already killed the rapist John G. over a year ago. When Teddy reminds Leonard of all these facts, Leonard, in a fit of pique, records Teddy's license plate number, flags it as the killer's, and adds the "Don't believe his lies" note to the Polaroid, thus setting the wheels in motion for Teddy's eventual demise."

You're the S. Seriously, smart, suraya, and the sss.

pshhh I wish, then I wouldn't be having such a hard time in school, but thanks

That's BECAUSE you're so smart! You have so much in your brain, and so much to contemplate, that even the simplest things become difficult for you. Take it as a sign of true genius, lol, that's what I do when I don't understand some of the most basic things. :baby:

Yea, I know you're kidding. YOU BETTER BE KIDDING. Remember the CAPS Annie, don't forget them. I'm the Spanish Russian Jew that you better listen to! I have no idea what that means, but it rhymes, and you know where it came from. :bangin:

Hahahhaa....shamie...

OK finally someone useful!! So she was a diabetic..I was right about what i thought, but i wanted to confirm it...i get it a lot better..thanks smarty poo.

Ayya modeela, got the answer already!!!

Well I couldn't find the DVD anyways, we've just moved about 6 months ago and I haven't unpacked the hundreds of DVDs yet, still waiting to buy a DVD cabinet before unpacking them.

I did look in the "IMDB.com" forum for this film though, and I found a couple of websites that explain the film, in case you still have some unanswered questions regarding this.

A short explanation: http://moviepooper.com/1/354.html

A detailed explanation (really good) : http://www.designpattern.org/wp/?page_id=13

Official website: http://www.otnemem.com

Salon.com analysis: http://dir.salon.com/ent/movies/feature/2001/06/28/memento_analysis/index.html

unofficial Christopher Nolan website: http://www.christophernolan.net/memento.php

FINALLY, you can always register in the IMDB.com boards and for every film, there is a dedicated forum for all sorts of questions which will be of great help when you're stuck trying to understand something. :)

I hope this helps.
