You gotta love English commentators. On Maradonna handling the ball with his hand: "this is not the first time that Maradonna handles the ball with his hand..." in reference to the 'hand of God' goal! Brilliant. Haha  :giggle:

Why can't these Africans finish better? Plenty of chances in second half but no good finishing.

So what did you guys think of Messi's performance and all his missed chances?

And why is Maradonna so happy? It is ok I guess it is his first world cup win against the best opponent in the group.

Overall a good effort but it could have been a tie as well.

messi does a good job but its not like when he plays in barca...

I think Nigeria did a very good job, much much better than i expected, they where just as good as argentina in this game...

I am pretty sure that argentina and nigeria will be the ones that advance from the group....
 
argentina did disappoint me a little.

the tactics seem to be:

- veron is just there to protect messi
- play all balls to messi even if there are players near
- mascherano organizes the game and passes the ball to messi
- messi runs with the ball and trys anything


to be honest the nigerians did deserve one goal.

Maradonna was so happy about the goal bc the corners and freekicks are 100% trained and executed the way HE wants...
with succes! heinze, one of the smallest players in the team makes a flight header lol

if those lads go on like this they wount make it more than 1/4 final
 
The tactics seem to be give the ball to Messi and let him do the work.

Messi's performance overshadowed just how bad Argentina really were. No influence from the coach whatsoever, and without Messi they would of had of lost easily.

Don't be surprised if South Korea get a result against them.
