Just wanted to Know if you decorate your house with christmas lights outside or you don't, becuase most Assyrians are "frugal" (don't like to spend money on electricity).

Great, we do too. The only think is that I always leave it to the coldest day of the year to put up the lights.

:giggle:

at our house.. my mom usually puts the lights up right after she takes down the halloween decorations...  :blush2: and she goes way crazy with all the lights she puts up...

Yes we already put ours, and we have a very cute reindeer outside

You guys should see Woodbridge, it is beautiful. Especially the Italian houses, it is like a competetion with one another. There is a house, which I haven't seen yet, very close by: it is rumored to be one of the best in all of the GTA maybe. This guy spends thousands of dollars on decorating his home. I will locate it soon and take pictures of it ;)

And now that we have snow, everything looks even better!

We moved in our house June 2006 and we bought so many lights and decorations but we had a death that year and this year so we haven't had a chance to decorate our home so far...but we hope to do it next year.

Ashoor that reindeer is so cute..im gonna get one next year.

Nice Reindeer Ashoor, but I myself love the nativity scene if I had it.

Sorry about the news Cuttie.

I do my parents' house for them every year. I have been thinking about doing my place too... but it's a new townhouse, so there is no exposed wood like the older styles. There's nowhere for me to really hang the lights from. My favorite part is the tree though.

Knowing that you are in LA, how is Christmas without any snow?

My aunt had the nativity scene and it looked amazing..it was not that big but it looked great..she doesn't have it anymore.

well, it's warm haha jk. It's not the same, but family is the most important part of Christmas anyway.

It's better than Christmas in Australia though! There, it's summer time!

How can I forget.
I had a great Christmas, the third day of Christmas my cousin and I went to the beach lol.

This Christmas is so quiet :(
Just me & husband.  I can't wait to go back to Australia again.

I just can't believe how fast this year really passed.

I have it with white Christmas. I so want a green, hot & sunny christmas. Do people decorate thier homes in hot weather places.

Of course they do.
Some people spend so much on decorating their homes.  For years when i was syd, our neighbour used to decorate every inch of their home, so beautiful.

Its compition too & i believe they pick the best house decorated & they reward them.

Anita that is amazing. I will GoogleEarth your house live (yes I have it)-and check this for myself at night. Too bad the difference in time zones! haha.

Oh, don't worry about your address, your SS will volunteer to give it to me :p
