Do you like dogs

We just got a dog and it is so cute. Tiny German Sheppard and Lab mix. The family love it.

My dilema is having it inside the house. From young age I have thought of them as being dirty.

What to do?

You shouldn't have got a dog if you're not even going to let it inside. Its not like your sh.it dont stink :)

My dog goes everywhere.

Thats the thing MJay, I can't stand the fact that they do thier stuff and come back in.

I don't know how long I will last to allow stau inside.

i love dogs. First of research about both the lab and German Shepard, cos i know the German Shepard has something you need to do for it. I think they have really bad hips. Dont feed it human food! Some people feed human food to their dogs and it might stay healthy and has normal life. However, it?s a lot easier for them to become overweight, and they most likely will turn to watching you eat all the time--thats annoying. Walk your dog, never understood why lazy people get dogs, cos they dont walk them. A big dog like that needs to be walked a least twice, but more than likely 3 times a day, so once before you go to bed for 10 mins isnt going to do yer dog too much good. Also, find a good vet near you and ask him/her a bunch of questions; they more than likely won?t know all of them, but they will be able to point ye to someone who will.

Oh, that dog shudnt be an inside dog. I mean, you can let him/her in and enjoy but i wudnt myself keep that dog in all the time. Its a big dog.

aww i love dogs.
I would suggest having a regular groomer for your dog, they make them smell so nice!
In the summer time i take him to the groomer once a week in the winter time he's a lot cleaner cause he's not playing outside so i take him to the groomer less. For me the most annoying thing about dogs is how they shed, but thankfully he doesn't shed a lot, but i just can't stand that.

I do not like dogs because the scare me. I like looking at the little ones because the are so cute but i never go near them i just look from far far away  :giggle:

A lot of my friends have dogs and whenever i go there they have to put them in the basement or other rooms because im a chicken and i get so scared when they come lick and smell me.

I don't like dogs and will go as far as saying that if my future wife wants one, I will end it right there :) (well I will know before I even committ) lol

ACANA thanks for telling us, I will stay clear from your house now haha jp

I don't hate them, but I don't care for them either.  I also laugh at people who treat them like part of the family.

My sister crosses the street if she sees a dog coming up on the side she is on.

I like to look at them.. and maybe even play with them but I would never get one. I wash my hands alot after I touch one lol.
I like arnoo'eh though! But they can get vicious.. Not really a pet person lol

lool@arnooeh, I like them too, but don't know about owning them.

And yes, I wouldn't mind looking at cute little dogs. But to own or care for one, no way.

But I won't go as far as saying "those who own one are stupid" because these people clearly like dogs, and you can see it in the billion dollar food and care industry for pets - people wouldn't spend this much money if they didn't like them.

But I will stick to my humans :)

i like the idea of having a dog..but having to wake up early to walk it,feed it,play with it,wash it just makes me not want to get one. i wanted to get a shitzu or tea cup yorkie  but i have decided no way in hell will i have time for the poor thing. i refuse to wake up early for work let alone a poor dog.
not to mention the vet bills for these animals it aint no joke.

What about a monkey? how much would you have to get paid for you to accept to own and care for one? and I am talking about one of these jungle flying and jumping scary monkeys! lol

For me, priceless really. Monkeys are the nastiest animal out there. Can you imagine slpeeing and all of a sudden one jumps from the roof of your toom over your head?

When i got home my mother was so scared something bad happened to me and when i told her what happened she started to laught alittle and then she made me tea.

I've always wanted one.. I've begged my dad many times but they destroy the house. I would have to get a big cage for it. One time.. my dad came home and said to me "jibitlich arneb mishmish!!!" i was soo happy.. i go downstairs.. it was rabbit meat  ... i was so upset lol he was laughing!

I Freaking hateeeeeee it when owners let them loose "oh dont worry, they won't bite"

I have been bitten by dogs twice (mind you, they were street dogs)

But I have seen it with my eyes once, back in high school. I was leaving school, and this man had let his big dog loose, without a leash. I could see it from far, going towards a young boy (maybe 12 or so) The boy didn't see it coming, and all you see the dog jumping on the boy and giving him a light bite. The owner saw it and ran towards it and held it. Good thing the bite wasn't bad, but you could see the boy was shaken, and the man was talking to him. I left, so don't know what happened after.

The boy didn't even see the dog coming; so it is not like it was provoking it. And this is what I hate about dogs, they are unpredictable. Sure the chance of them biting someone for no reason is very remote. But it does happen, and if you are the unlucky person, you could even die.

It is so stupid: if you run, the dog will think you are scared and will chase you. If you don't want it to chase you, you have to pet it and touch it. Aya mo pletla; when did dogs become our police? lol. Kholela bkhela, I don't want to give them any attention...

i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee dogs  :2hearts: :2hearts: :2hearts: :2hearts: :2hearts:

We have a little shih tzu at home... cutest mofo alive  :blush2:  when we first got him.. he'd piss and shit in the house, but he was just a little puppy.. now, he doesnt do that.. unless deedee damn dog comes over.. which btw.. that asshole pisses ALL over my house, and since my dog wants to mark his territory.. he'll try to do it too.. but as soon as we say "NO ROCCO" he walks away  :giggle:

i cant stand when older dogs piss/shit in ur house.. when theyre puppies, ok.. cuz they dont know better.. but there is no excuse as they get older.. unless of course, they have a bad owner

If you do get a bunny, make sure it's just one.  My husband bought two for the kids because they kept whining about not having pets.  He wanted to get one for each of them, and he made sure they were both male so we would avoid having to care for their numerous offspring.  Well, having both males has not stopped them from doing it.  I have finally seen with my own eyes "going at it like rabbits" more times than I care to count.  Oh, and they smell too (we always keep them outside because of that.)  I hate them -- have told the kids that one day I'm going to serve them both in sherwa and they'll never know it!

I love dogs. Kheena, they are a man's best friend. Unfortunately, my mother would never allow us to own a pet in the house.

If I do have a place of my own, I'd love to have one of those English Bulldog puppies. After watching "Rob & Big" from MTV, I knew that would be a perfect pet. They are lazy, loyal and down-to-earth .
