Dangerous high heels: Women's shoes reach hazardous heights during the recession

So, this article is pretty lame. It keeps b*tching about how high high heels are becoming. Now, some of them are like 12 inches, which is insane, but some are just like 5 or 6 inches and they're still complaining.

Anyways, I was wondering, ladies...what's the highest heel you've ever walked around in? I can't walk in anything more than 6 inches. Even 6 inches, I can't walk around in that much. Max an hour or so just standing and then I collapse and die. I made the mistake of wearing a pair at a Zowaa party one time and I died. I died inside. Hahahaha!

So, I haven't been here for weeks (months?) and I came to find some sort of vital info in one of my PMs and this is the first thread I see!!! How amazing? Shoes follow me wherever I go, especially high heels.

The highest I've ever worn are 5.5 inches, never six, but I think that's because I don't like even numbers.  :mrgreen:

Those twelve inchers you have posted are Alexander McQueen's (oh, why did that man have to kill himself? :( ) and Lady Gaga wore those or a similar style in one of her videos and to an awards show. They have incredible structure and support within the build and platform, but I think they are probably some of the ugliest shoes he ever designed. Now the black and white (ivory really, but still zebra style) McQueen's I bought are a very different story. <3

4/5 inches max.

Flats can ruin your outfit sometimes. You gotta throw on a pair of heels to save it.
I only wear heels when I absolutely must, though.
 
ive never tried high heels so i dont know how it can be hahaha, it looks damn uncomfortable but its damn sexy when women have them on, but not to tall max 10 - 12 cm, over that is just ugly and looks strange...

I love womens legs, then again am i alone? hahhah

The highest one i got right now is like 4" but more than that I just can't wear them any more because I have problem with my feet, and I also don't like to wear more than 4" high heels shoes because I look taller than most Assyrian men lol.

When I wear heels, I tower over every Assyrian man that's not blood-related. Hahahahaha, I look down at them when I'm talking to them and it feels uncomfortable that I'm doing that. I feel like I'm being an asshole, hahahaha.
 
Im taller then most of the guys here anyway, so I wear any heels I want-I think my highest is a pair my sister got me for Christmas which I think must be about 5" or 6" otherwise generally approx. 4"

U Tower lol oh lord what the hell am i, well i used to wear heels my max was 4 inch and then went down to 2 , now that im married i have to wear flats im hubby is 5'9 and im 5'10.

Damn are all you assyrian girls in the americas tall, iam 180 cm, 5"11 i think you guys say, and i dont think i have ever met an assyrian woman that is taller than me, average around here is around 165 cm, 5"5. the tallest one i know is 176 - 177 cm. 5"9.5

*Supplement: you americans have a very stupid system of height, there is no logic when you count and convert, in europe eveyrthing is 10 factor based. 1 meter (yard in usa) = 100 cm, 1 dm = 10 cm, 1 cm = 10 mm etc. you guys need to stop using these feet, inch and miles hahaha, makes no sense...

Tallest man in my family was my great uncle, he was 7 feet tall  :)

I can't run in shoes to save my life. I don't know how women do that.

Oh yea, and this is totally pathetic, but I love skinny heels and freak out going down escalators. :lol:

same here i dont think i've met anyone assyrian chicks who are as tall as me :/
khena it runs in the family will i think im the only one that got the height cause my sisters are short.
but thank god the taller the better :D

and as for the system lol talk to Obama not me
