This is NOT a joke. The Conservative Bible Project is a group wanting to rewrite the bible to emphasize its "conservative roots":

I wonder which passages will be removed? My bets are on:
Matthew 25:35-36 "I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me into your homes, naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me"
Isaiah 58:6-7 "Remove the chains of oppression and the yoke of injustice, and let the oppressed go free. Share your food with the hungry and open your homes to the homeless poor. Give clothes to those who have nothing to wear, and do not refuse to help your relatives."
I'm sure the verses about "harder for a rich man to get into heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle", "love thy neighbor" and "blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God" are all seen as evil liberal leanings.
