As the next President of the United States of America will officially be inaugurated in a few hours time I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate President Barack Obama; one of the most remarkable individuals of our time.

Today is the dawn of a new chapter in the history of America and indeed the world.

The phrase "he has the weight of the world on his shoulders" was never more fitting than it is of Obama today.  So much is expected of him.  I wish him much luck, he has a tough road ahead trying to fix all that has been damaged (here and abroad) these past 8 years.  But I have HOPE!

and prayerfully he won't sell out with all the temptation in washington
the world is watching
so i pray he holds true to his initial intentions through out!
like hillary did when bill was elected regarding health care which they ran on then the insurance companies bought her out, as health care became a non issue

support him

it's time for CHANGE and a complete revaming of the current system
not a job for the faint of heart

Sorry guys, don''t want to turn this into politics.

But these pictures are amazing, wow. This man truly is a uniter already, at least of the people. Let us hope he can unite in politcs too and get people around him.

I am not able to do much work today, I keep going from website to another for all the coverage. I am going home for lunch just watch it. His speech will be historic for sure.

So sad to see Bush go. But it is ok, he had his maximum years in office. One gracious man leaving for another. Not bad at all.

It was very nice.  The sound of Itzhak Perlman's violin always gives me goosebumps.

Nope. He hurt his back after lifting boxes when moving out of his office!
 
The whole world is watching now, following, reading etc.

Like I was saying in another thread, you gotta admire how Americans are able to draw the whole world to them every few years. Whether it is the Moon Landing, September 11, Iraq Liberation, and now the Obama Inauguration.

What a man. He does all work himself, and wouldn't rely on someone else to do it. That is exactly what Obama was preaching yesterday: do your job yourself, don't wait for someone else to do it, and it never gets done!

Did that stupid John Roberts just sabotage the oath?  He reversed the words and threw Obama off his stride.

BTW does anybody see the stupid hat that George Bush Snr. is wearing :ROFLMAO:.
