Clashes between GPF and YPG in Qamishli, at least one Assyrian dead

Tl;dr
YPG attacked an Assyrian controlled neighbourhood which was controlled by Gozarto Protection Forces (GPF). Gunfight occurered for an hour and one Assyrian died and three Kurds died in the gunfight. The Assyrian group they attacked are sided with the government.

I don't understand Kurds tbh. One day, YPG is indirectly allied with Assad fighting FSA and one day they're not? Hence, attacking GDF? Or, did they solely attack them for being Assyrian.

Shocked but not surprised this is happening. Looks like the Kurds are publicly showing that they want to take over Assyrian areas and are not shy about it.

So they go from being part of Syria, under president Assad just 5 years ago. To now wanting to control not only their own areas, but those of others too by force. That, in a nutshell, is what Kurds are all about and how they expand their territory.

If anyone didn't catch this yet, the attack occurred in the same neighborhood that ISIS supposedly bombed... Al-Wusta

Considering everybody knows the YPG is behind this attack right now.

What's next to happen?

The Kurds tried the whole "WE'RE WESTERN AND PROGRESSIVE.WE'RE THE ONLY ONES ACTUALLY FIGHTIN' ISIS"
But now that they're gaining(Arab and Assyrian) territory, their true colors are starting to emerge.
May God watch over the Assyrians.

No way, this is only something Assyrians can solve. The Kurds need to realize that Assyrians are separate and free people, we're not living the Ottoman empire anymore. If the Kurds truly want our support, they'd respect our wishes to have our own self-rule just like how we respect theirs...

What even gives them the right to think they have to rule over us? they can't even rule themselves without bungling into civil war...

I have seen this comming, and its gonna be worst. The YPG stated that they will not tolerate Regime allies in Qamishli and Hassakeh, and that one day they will fight them of they dont lay down their weapons. And it gonna be worse since the Sootoro GPF will never disarm.

too bad doing so will make the YPG look bad to the entire international community. The GPF only wish to defend what is theirs.

What would be the best solution though? Should the GPF ally itself with the YPG or stay with the regime?

Do you have sources ?

they essentially want total control of the region. Anyone who's not 100% allied with them are considered enemies.

Allied meaning under their power as well.

So bipolar of them, that's why it's hard for them to maintain a stable and healthy relationship with any other ethnicity or religion.

ultimately, this won't have good effects if they decide to become independent and sovereign.

No sane Kurd is going to want to live under a dictatorship (again), even if the dictator is a Kurd...

Barzani is more or less the Saddam of Kurdistan. He's been there for so long, might as well call Kurdistan a monarchy then.

pretty much, him and his allies have stolen so much Assyrian and Kurdish villages and land just for their own interests

In reality, that's a blessing in disguise for Assyrians.

Also in reality, we'd really rather not fight/kill anybody but we're doing so out of necessity.

Hopefully, the YPG will use diplomacy in this situation but I won't hold my breath...

Another fallen Assyrian martyr. Let's make sure his death doesn't go in vain, with the other millions that have died for the Assyrian cause. We must finish what these martyrs started and fight for Assyria and Assyrian people!
