In short, Chaldeans are ethnic Assyrians (whether they like it or not). Their church is called "Chaldean". And they erroneously identify themselves with that name.
We need more and more Chaldeans like you (and Assyrian Nationalist, who is a Chaldean Catholic and also proud to be ethnically Assyrian).Mr. Tambourine Man said:I'm Chaldean and not only do I acknowledge that I'm an ethnic Assyrian, I'm extremely proud of it.
But yeah, a lot of people tend to deviate from that label.
Are you a (Chaldean) Catholic too?Kebabs?s said:How many people from the chaldean church claim they are chaldean and not assyrian? everyone in my family calls themselves assyrian

Lol I'd say that this applies to the rest of them.ASHOOR said:That is a great question. Unfortunately the majority claim they are not Assyrian.
I would put the percentage of those who acknowledge that they are indeed Assyrian is around 30-40%? And then there are those who know but can't admit it of course.

Roberto Baggio is Italian and also Buddhist and converting to Buddhism did not change the fact that he is Italian.
I thought most Assyrians belong to the Ancient Church of the east?Kebabs?s said:Yes arent most assyrians from that church?
